2010 TIRU REUNION UPDATE
The USS TIRU Reunion for 2010 is being held in San Diego, CA. To date only 26 shipmates have registered. I know that a lot more of you have indicated that you will be coming, but without the registrations to go by we can't come up with any numbers for planning. Please go to the TIRU website and register if you are planning to come. Fill out the registration form indicating shirt sizes, any desire to take the tours mentioned, and dinner choices. This will allow us to get the proper things ordered in time to support you at the reunion. Also make your reservations at the Handlery Hotel & Resort, the deadline to ensure a room at our price is 9 July.
In the event unforeseen circumstances result in you being unable to attend as planned, your registration fees will be refunded in full up to 15 July (negotiable after the 15th). Any registration fees paid after 15 July cannot guarantee a shirt will be included. These are special order items which must be ordered early by the reunion committee.
Registration fee funds the following:
Buffet at Hotel (Thursday)
Luncheon at SubBase (Friday)
Banquet at Hotel (Saturday)
Wine & Cheese
Hospitality Room
Tour Bus
Reunion Memorabilia
For Early Arrivals: There will be a welcome to San Diego BBQ at our house on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I will provide directions. It's definitely easier to get to than Bill Fatek’s house. We have a pool instead of a beautiful lake. Let me know if you will be coming to the BBQ so I can plan accordingly. Hope to see you all there.
For Golfers: Plans are to put something together for the golfing guys - anyone interested in playing golf while in San Diego let me know and I will start compiling a list.
