2009 TIRU REUNION NEWS:
Now is the Time to Register for Tiru’s Seventh Reunion
The 2009 TIRU Reunion will be held from the 13th to 16st of August 2009 at Groton, Connecticut. Details are posted on the TIRU website, usstiru.org, in the 2009 Reunion section. Reunion registration may be made on the website, by phone, fax, email, or by postal mail. If you do not have Internet access please call and we will fax or mail you the registration form, schedule of events, and hotel information. The reunion memorial service will be held on the USS Nautilus followed by a Happy Hour and Dinner at Groton SubVets.
Occasionally the reunion committee experiences some email problems. If you have registered and are not listed on the website attendees list please notify the reunion committee (2009reunion(@)usstiru.org)

The website averaged 64 visits (1492 hits) per day for the month of February. Your help is needed in auditing the site for bad links and errors. If any problems are noted please email to the webmaster. Thanks for those who have sent in suggestions and comments. Tom Scott has located some photos from the early 1970’s which will be posted on the website soon. Dwight Dexter has also provided some early 1970 photos which have been posted.
Charles A. Foskett Jr. died 7 February 2009 at Springville, California. He served on Tiru as an EMC from March 1957 to June 1960. His daughter, Marlene Wynn, has asked that anyone who served with her father to please contact her. Her email address is napawinenrose@aol.com. Thanks to those who have already contacted her.

USS TIRU SS416 ASSOCIATION NEWS:
The 2008 reunion was held last September at Niagara Falls, New York; over 70 shipmates and guests attended. A great time was had by all. The scenery was fantastic! Many thanks to Pat and Glenn Reed for all the effort they expended to continue our reunion success story. Pictures are posted in the Photo 2008 Reunion section of the website.
The 2008 Crew Meeting minutes and the 2008 Financial Report will be posted in the restricted section of TIRU’s website once they are finalized. If you do not have Internet access and wish a mailed copy, contact the association president.
