Now is the Time to Register for Tiru’s Sixth Reunion
The 2008 TIRU Reunion will be held from the 18th to 21st of September 2008 at Niagara Falls, New York. Details are posted on the TIRU website, www.usstiru.org, in the 2008 Reunion section. Reunion registration may be made on the website, by fax, by email, or by postal mail. If you do not have Internet access please call and we will fax or mail you the registration form, schedule of events, and hotel information. The hotel is located within walking distance of the American Falls and downtown attractions. The reunion memorial service will be held on the USS Little Rock after a buffet on the fantail.
The reunion committee has been experiencing occasional email problems. If you have registered and are not listed on the website attendees list please notify the reunion committee (2008reunion(at)usstiru.org)

The website continues to grow and we averaged 44 visits (1387 hits) per day for the month of January. Your help is needed in auditing the site for bad links and errors. If any problems are noted please email to the webmaster. Thanks for those who have sent in suggestions and comments.
The history section continues to expand thanks to the efforts of our shipmates who have sent us annual operational summaries and photos. We recently obtained, thanks to Jerry Myers, copies of three declassified patrol reports from the 1950’s. These have been posted in the password protected chronological history section of the website. We also have obtained detailed ships plans and a qualification notebook which are posted in the engineering history section.
If you have registered and have not received a reply please try again or send email to webmaster. You should get an acknowledgement within one to three days if everything is working correctly. We continue to have problems with email to AOL members due to its emailspam control.

USS TIRU SS416 ASSOCIATION NEWS:
The 2007 reunion was held last August in Norfolk; over 90 shipmates and guest attended. A great time was had by all! Many thanks to Belinda and Chuck Coker for all the effort they expended to continue our reunion success story. Pictures are posted in the Photo 2007 Reunion section of the website.
The 2007 Crew Meeting minutes and the 2007 Financial Report will be posted in the restricted section of TIRU’s website once they are finalized. If you do not have Internet access and wish a mailed copy, contact the association president.
