2007 TIRU REUNION NEWS:
The 2007 TIRU Reunion will be held from the 16th to 19th of August 2006 in Norfolk, Virginia The details are posted on the TIRU website, www.usstiru.org, in the 2007 Reunion section. This looks to be a great one. Reunion registration may be made on the website, by fax, by email, or by postal mail. If you do not have Internet access please call and we will fax or mail you the registration form, schedule of events, and hotel information.

The 2006 TIRU Reunion was held in Silverdale Washington in August. Many thanks to Sandra and Earle Smith on hosting such an outstanding event. The reunion photos are posted on the TIRU website and can be accessed either from the Photo section or the 2006 Reunion section.

The website continues to grow and we have averaged 85 visits (1493 hits) per day so far in January. The chronological history section has been reformatted and continues to expand. The site continues in its transitioned from a MS Publisher based site to a MS Front Page site. During this transition expect some errors to occur. With your help in auditing the site for bad links and errors we hope to keep the disruptions to a minimum. If any problems are noted please email to the webmaster.

A Crew’s meeting was held at the 2006 Reunion. The Treasurer’s report was presented and approved. The minutes and financial report are posted in the restricted section of TIRU’s website. If you do not have Internet access and wish a mailed copy, contact the association president. A new slate of Officers was elected for two year terms. The new officers are:

During the 2006 Reunion, Bob and Lois Schmitt donated a scale model of the USS TIRU (SS 416) to be used as a fund raiser for the organization. A decision was made to raffle the model off at the next reunion. The following details apply:
