Chief Electrician Mate Clarence C. Young, USN, 94, died on 11 May
2006 and was buried at the Louisville Kentucky Cemetery.
Senior Chief Young was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 10 June 1911.
Chief Young served aboard the USS Tiru (SS416) as Chief Electrician from 1
September 1948 to 21 March 1949. He also served on various other submarines
including the USS Bergal (SS320). Chief Young was a veteran of World War
II.
