Robert Wasson was born on 24 November 1930 and died on 15 June 2013. After graduating from Submarine School, he served on USS Tiru SS416 from 15 May 1952 until 24 September 1953 as an Engineman Second Class Petty Officer; qualifying in submarines in May 1953. During Petty Officer Wasson time on board Tiru; Tiru conducted Special Forces operations in support of the Korean War.
