Albert P. Stratton

Master Chief Engineman Albert Stratton died on 13 July 1998 and is survived by his wife Jean. His first submarine was the USS Tiru SS416, reporting aboard in February 1956 as a Seaman Apprentice. He qualified in submarines on 1 December 1957 on Tiru and served aboard in the Engineering Department until his transfer to the USS Sargo SSN 583 in May 1960 as a Second Class Engineman. Chief Stratton was a plank owner of the USS Haddo SSN 604 and the USS Grayling SSN 646. He retired as a Master Chief Engineman after 23 years of naval service.
