Arthur W. Stone

Quartermaster Chief Petty Officer Arthur Stone was born in Boston on 22 November 1924. Chief Stone enlisted in the US Navy in October 1942 and served on a number of ships including the USS Sarda (SS488), USS Diablo (SS479), USS Bream (SSK243) and USS Tiru (SS416) [27 September 1957 to 16 August 1960]. He retired from recruiting duty in Boston in July 1963. Chief Stone died in Massachusetts on the 26th October 1991 and is survived by his wife Helen.
