Torpedoman 3rd Class Schmitt died
on 2 February 2019 at his home in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on 15
February 1942 in Evansville.
TM3 Schmitt was enlisted in the Navy from 1961 until
1965. He served on the submarine USS Tiru SS416 from 1963 to 1965, doing two
Vietnam patrols. Bob was an active member of the Tiru Association.
