Frank William Rumbaugh

TMC(SS) Frank William (Rummy) Rumbaugh, USN, age 72, died on 16 January 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Layne. Frank was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and grew up in California. He served aboard USS Tiru SS-416 from January 1966 to June 1966 as a TM1(SS). His qualified on the USS Ronquil SS-396 in 1954 and also served on the USS Salmon SSR-573, USS Daniel Boone SSBN-629, USS Tecumseh SSBN-628, USS Benjamin Franklin SSBN-640, and USS Henry Clay SSBN-625.   Roland was the Past Base Commander of the Arizona SubVets, a member of the Navy League Honolulu Council, The American Legion, VFW, and the DAV. Upon his retirement in Honolulu he owned Dental Ceramics, Inc. until he moved to Arizona in 1986.
