Edward J. (Mac) McKeon 

World War II submarine veteran, EMCS(SS) Edward Joseph McKeon died in his sleep, on board Tiru on 14 September 1967 while on a northern run at the age of 39. He was put ashore at Nome, Alaska and escorted back to Pearl Harbor. Senior Chief McKeon was onboard USS Tiru SS416 from 13 August 1966 until 15 September 1967. He is buried at Arlington Cemetery (Grave 9945-D, Section 13). Senior Chief McKeon enlisted in the US Navy on 9 August 1946.
