Alexander K. Kamakeeaina, died on 11 January 1977 in California, at the age
of 46. He was
born on 7 November 1930 in Laie Malo'o, Oahu, Hawaii.
Alexander Kamakeeaina is believed to have joined the Navy in 1951 and served on various submarines. His first boat was the USS Tiru SS 416 where he served from 1 June 1951 until 27 October 1952 as a TMSN (SS), having completed his submarine qualification on 2 July 1952. While on Tiru he completed two Korean War Patrols. Alexander later served on the USS Sargo SSN 583. His brother Edward also served on the Sargo in 1964.
