Captain Bradford S. Granum, USN (ret), of Williamsburg, VA, died June
20, 2009 at Sentara Hospital, Williamsburg, VA. He was born on 27
January 1930 at Long Beach, California. Captain Granum
graduated from the USNA, Annapolis, MD, with the Class of 1951 and
joined the Submarine Service. From June 1960 to July 1961, he was the
Executive Office on USS Tiru SS416. He held various other sea and land
assignments. Captain Granum was the Executive Officer of the Navy
Submarine School, New London, CT, and was a graduate of the Naval War
College. He retired from the US Navy in June 1977. He was a life member
of the USNA Alumni Association, Naval Submarine League, Navy League of
the U.S. and the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). After
retirement, he was one of four founders of Quadelta, Inc., a test and
evaluation company that contracts with defense and civilian firms. He
was the first President and served in a variety of positions until he
became Chairman Emeritus, which he held until his death. He was involved
in the founding of the non-profit International Test and Evaluation
Association (ITEA) whose mission is to advance the field of test and
evaluation worldwide. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October
29, 2009, at 1100. at Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military
Honors. |
