William H. Goodman Jr.

Commissaryman First Class William H. Goodman Jr. , USN (ret), a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, died on 15 March 1997 at the age of 74. He reported to the USS Tiru SS416, undergoing construction, as a CS1 in 1948 and was transferred to shore duty on 27 January 1950.  Petty Officer Goodman was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was born on 28 July 1922. Petty Officer Goodman enlisted in the Navy in May 1941 and retired in November 1970.  He is buried in the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Jacksonville.
