James E. Flynn

Petty Office James E. Flynn, USN (ret), a resident of Twins Fall, Idaho, died on 20 February 2001 at the age of 78. Burial was at the Twins Falls Cemetery. He reported to the USS Tiru SS416, which was undergoing construction, as a Engineman in September 1948. After over 6 years on TIRU he was transferred as a EN1 (SS) to Submarine Squadron Five on 28 February 1955. Petty Office Flynn was a veteran of World War II, Korean War , and the Vietnam War. He was born on 18 November 1922 in Huntington Park, California. He also served on the USS Enterprise CV6, USS Midway CV41, USS Sea Devil SS400, USS Tunny SS282, and as a Recruiting Officer at Twin Fall, Idaho.
