John 'Jack' Ebert
 
John H. "Jack" Ebert, age 58, of Spring Lake, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, January 11, 2002, after a six-month battle with cancer.
 
He was born Oct 16, 1943 to Harvey and Celeste(Washburne) Ebert in Chicago, Ill.
 
He was a long -time resident of Grand Rapids, MI. prior to moving to Spring Lake, and had been employed by KL Industries. Jack was a U.S. Navy submariner for six years, serving during the Vietnam War on the USS Bream SS 243, the USS Tiru SS 416, and the John C. Calhoun SSBN 630. He was a long-time member of the South Kent AMBUCS, a member of the American Legion Post #2 in Grand Rapids and the US Submarine Veterans; and volunteered as a Big Brother.
