William E. Cernich

William E. Cernich, reported aboard Tiru as an ETRSN on 7 November 1961. While on-board he made ETR3 and qualified in Submarines before being transferred on  28 May 1962 to Nuclear Power School, Mare Island. He is believed to have been on the commission crew of the USS von Steuben, SSBN 632 (Gold) as an ETR2(SS) and to also have served on the USS Odax SS486 in 1966 as an ET1(SS). William died on 9 March 2005, and is survived by his wife Beverly.
