Willie D. Arnette

TMC (SS) Willie D. Arnette, USN (ret), a resident of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, died on 20 September 1999. He served on Tiru from August 1956 to October 1958; he arrived from the USS Carp SS338 and was transferred back to the Carp. Chief Arnette served in the Navy from November 1939 to December 1959 and was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He was born in Lumberton, North Carolina on 20 February 1921.
