Senior Chief Sonarman (SS) Christofferson

Senior Chief Sonarman Harold W. Christofferson entered the US Navy in November 1942 serving on submarines during World War II. He served on the USS Tiru (SS416) as Chief of the Boat during the late 1960's, retiring in August 1969. Chief Christofferson was born in Brooklyn, New York on 8 March 1924 and died in 1991.
